My 5 Categories For Flying Essentials

The experience of flying differs between each individual. In this post I just want to cover what I packed to make my fly most enjoyable, some of these things you may feel, will make yours enjoyable too. If you do, be sure to pack these things in the carry on bag, that you will have at your seat, that way you have access to them during your flight!

💙Hydration: When flying it is easy to become dehydrated due to the lack of humidity which leads to moisture from the body leaving faster than usual. Fortunately, there are plenty of ways to combat this and keep your body hydrated.

Hydrating Internally
Drink fluids ESPECIALLY WATER: Be diligent in preparing for you flight and drinking beverages with lots of electrolytes and eating fruits beforehand. Although you can't bring your own beverages onto the plane, most airlines offer beverages during the flight.. for FREE! You can also take advantage of the club sodas (i.e. Canada Dry) or Tomato Juice. & Don't worry about being having to go to the restroom, your plane has that covered. 😌

Hydrating Externally
During my most recent flight I invested in a hydrating sheet mask and chapstick, a good lotion is something else you may want. Hydrating masks are fun, relaxing, and work. The brand I suggest is Garnier. The skincare items I used in the past by them worked well for my skin, as I didn't experience any bad side effects, so I gave the Garnier SKINACTIVE Moisture Bomb Sheet Mask a try. The only problem I had, was the way it fit on my face. I don't feel as the the hole placements were necessarily a good fit for any face shape I've seen, but I made it work and the product on the mask felt refreshing, while giving my skin the boost of moisture it needed. If you get this, just be sure to read the instructions so you know how to use it correctly! The lip balm I used was by the ChapStick brand, but it too happened to be a new product. The ChapStick I used was the Total Hydration, 3 in 1 lip care in the "taste" soothing oasis. It is the most moisturizing lip balm I've used thus far, so I was very satisfied.

💛Comfort and Warmth: Some flights are short and others..longer. When it comes to comfort and warmth, I dress normal, but suggest packing fuzzy socks and a sweater or even light blanket to keep warm when the a/c begins blowing. Know that sometimes, there is a way to control whether or not the fan blows right on you, but it's easier to just put something on.

😷Hygiene: Although there is air blowing, due to the low humidity/dry air this can make it easier for things that wouldn't travel in cooler areas to do so, I suggest packing a hand sanitizer to use whenever you feel needed and sanitizing wipes as well. I purchased Germ-X sanitizer and Clorox wipes that were in the travel size area of Walmart. Don't forget to place your hand sanitizer in a ziplock bag!

💚Just in Case: I like to stay prepared and so I pack medicine (capsules/tablets/chews), such as the type for motion sickness/anxiousness/nausea, an upset stomach/diahrrea, & etc. Just being real! I might not ever use some of these, but I like to have them in case someone else will!

😁Entertainment: Find out what services your airline provides in regards to your phone carrier. Some provide free WiFi and texting that works while on airplane mode during your flight & some airlines also have an app that has movies playing while riding. I definitely took advantage of these things and read a book I packed to help pass time. Maybe you have an assignment you need to work on or just need a moment to let your mind rest. The trip to your destination is the perfect time to relax and get things together.
